Delivering toys for the Toronto Firefighters Toy Drive

DSC_3488

As the countdown begins to Christmas Eve, GTMAA volunteers scoured dozens of city fire halls to collect toys generously donated by the public to Toronto fire stations. The toys were delivered to the Toronto Firefighters Toy Drive warehouse in Scarborough. Support 7 was filled to brim with toys of all types.

At every fire hall the truck visited, firefighters were there to help us fill up the truck.

While we were at station 143 in North York, FITS Toronto dropped by to donate a car full of sports equipment to the drive.

It was nearly dark when the truck pulled into the warehouse for the final drop off, where the toys will be sorted and delivered to children across the city for Christmas.

There are still many more donated toys to be collected, and volunteers who are available will be making more trips to fire halls later this week for more pickups.
